Turmeric (Curcumin)
Primary Use / Function: Anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, supports joint health, may aid in digestion and cognitive function

Daily Dose Range: 500–2000 mg standardized extract (containing 95% curcuminoids)
Frequency: Once or twice daily depending on dose
With Food? Yes, preferably with fatty meals
Enhancing Combinations:Black pepper extract (piperine) to enhance absorption; also synergistic with Omega-3 and Ginger
Gender Specific:No
Contraindications / Cautions: May interact with blood thinners; caution with gallstones or bile duct obstruction; possible GI upset in high doses
Notes: Bioavailability is generally poor unless combined with piperine or formulated for enhanced absorption (e.g., phytosome, nanoparticle)
