With Food? Yes, fat-soluble vitamin—take with a fat-containing meal

Enhancing Combinations:Vitamin D, Zinc, Omega-3s (for eye health); Vitamin E (antioxidant synergy)

Gender Specific:No

Contraindications / Cautions: Toxic at high doses; avoid high intake during pregnancy unless prescribed; watch for pre-formed retinol toxicity

Notes: Exists in two main forms—preformed vitamin A (retinol) and provitamin A (beta-carotene); be cautious with liver-derived supplements
